SUPA Networking Event
The Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA) is holding its first networking event for all new physics students starting their PhD this term. It will bring together over one hundred PhD students from across Scotland from the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot-Watt, Paisley, St Andrews and Strathclyde as well as Dundee and Glasgow Caledonian University.
The event, to be held at the University of Strathclyde, will include talks by Professor Alan Miller (Vice Principal (Research), University of St Andrews), Professor Jim Hough (Chair of the STFC Education, Training and Careers Committee) and Dr Adam Woodcraft (SUPA Advanced Fellow).
There will be posters on display from students awarded SUPA Prize Studentships in 2005 and 2006 and information available on the SUPA Graduate School from its Director, Avril Manners.
