I am delighted to advise you that we are now accepting bids for the next round
of the Robert Cormack Small Astronomy Research Grant. <br>
<br>
These grants enable an individual or group to promote astronomy activities for
the Public Understanding of Science. Funded projects must benefit a wider
audience (e.g. public visitors, whole school) rather than the recipients of the
funds (e.g. Astronomical Society, School Class or Club).<br>
<br>
A total of £1000 is available this year and it is most likely that this will be
divided among a number of awards. Past awardees include the Shetland
Astronomical Society, University of <st1:City w:st="on">Edinburgh</st1:City>,
and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Sir</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">E</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Scott</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">School</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>, Isle of Harris.<br>
