<p class="MsoNormal">The Royal Anniversary Trust has written to
the Principal to give advance notice of the next round of
Queen’s Anniversary Prizes. This award is part of the UK
Honours system. The University has not been as successful in
this competitive process as it might be – we won one in 1996
(Electrical Power Engineering).<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We are allowed one entry, and this email is
to ask you to suggest one or two areas within your Faculty for
consideration. The award is for “Innovative work of
outstanding quality which is producing transformational impact
and benefits”.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Recommendations for Prizes are made by the
Prime Minister to The Queen acting on the advice of the trust.<o:p></o:p></p>
