Dear All,

As part of Tier 4 of the PBS (Points Based System) the University is
required to monitor attendance of some of the PGR students on an
on-going basis. Our existing procedure has involved the students
signing in weekly on a list held in JA8.33. In order to extend
flexibility we have decided that the procedure can change to work
with a signature from either the student or the supervisor.

Please note that if you sign as supervisor you are indicating that
you have seen the student in person that week. Authorised absences
should be notified, again either by student or supervisor. Please
note that we need one or other signature or authorised absence
notification each week.

The default expectation is that the student will sign. If the
supervisor is to sign please inform both Lynn and Kirsten.

Thanks for you help.
