I am asking you to please reconsider whether you can help on Tuesday of next week, the 18th December, as we do not have enough people willing to help out in the lab – 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon and are in desperate need of volunteers. We have 65 advanced higher pupils and teachers arriving at 10 am on Tuesday morning, they will be split into two groups with one doing the lab in the morning and the other in the afternoon. They will be split across 6 experiments and we really, really need people to help supervise these groups.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>If you can help on Tuesday, please let me AND Nigel know as soon as possible as I will not be in the office on Monday.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>To those of you who have already said that you are willing to help, thank you!<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Thanks<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Lynn<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'>Ms Lynn Gilmour<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:3.0pt;color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'>Admissions Secretary<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'>Department of Physics,</span><span style='font-size:9.0pt;color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'> University of Strathclyde, Room JA8.33, John Anderson Building, 107 Rottenrow East, Glasgow G4 0NG <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:9.0pt;color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'>Tel: +44 (0)41 548 3362 e: <a href="mailto:lynn.gilmour@strath.ac.uk"><span style='color:blue'>lynn.gilmour@strath.ac.uk</span></a> skype: </span><b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;color:#0B694A;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'>physics_strathclyde</span></b><span style='font-size:9.0pt;color:#119F70;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;color:#119F70;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:9.0pt;color:#1F497D;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'>The University of Strathclyde is a charitable body, registered in Scotland, number SC015263 <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'>From:</span></b><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:EN-GB'> Lynn Gilmour <br><b>Sent:</b> 10 December 2012 15:17<br><b>To:</b> 'academic@phys.strath.ac.uk'; research@phys.strath.ac.uk; postgrad@phys.strath.ac.uk<br><b>Subject:</b> Recruitment Events - RESPONSE REQUIRED<br><b>Importance:</b> High<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Dear All,<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>There are three very important upcoming events in the Department’s recruitment calendar as follows:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Tuesday 18th December 2012<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Thursday 20th December 2012 <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Wednesday 9th January 2013<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The events on these dates are Advanced Higher Days, whereby schools are invited to bring along their Advanced Higher Physics pupils to listen to various talks and then spend 2 hours in a lab conducting experiments with helpers – that is the help we are looking for.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Department needs at least 6 people to help on each of these days.
