During the morning/early afternoon session nine primary schools will visit the University and take part in nine themed ‘Meet the Researcher’ exhibits. As always, t</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>here will be the Dragons’ Den style event, which forms part of <a href="http://www.strath.ac.uk/researchday/" target="_blank">University Research Day</a>, providing the opportunity for Strathclyde academic and researcher staff to pitch their excellent research and knowledge exchange ideas to a panel of ‘Dragons’. The event aims to bring together cross-disciplinary research groups to deliver a funding pitch to a panel of Dragons consisting of senior University staff, academics and external partners. The University, through the <a href="http://www.strath.ac.uk/btg/" target="_blank">Bridging the Gap</a> initiative, will provide <strong><span style='font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>£20,000</span></strong> of funding for the most promising proposal(s).
