Dear All,

Two important dates relating to possible new appointments:

1. Tuesday 21 May - we will interview Dr. Alison Yao for a
Lectureship in Theoretical and Computational Optics. Alison will
present a talk on that morning (details to follow) - please try to
attend and provide feedback.

2. Wednesday 26 June - interviews for a Reader/Professor in
Theoretical and/or Computational Quantum Optics. The closing date
for applications has just passed and a short-listing meeting is
being set-up. It is likely that some, but not all, of the
short-listed candidates will have recently presented seminars within
the Department. After short-listing we will work out the correct way
to proceed in terms of further presentations - if possible please
keep the morning of the 26th free to attend and provide feedback.

Regards,
