The Schlumberger Foundation invites applications for its
faculty for the future fellowships. These enable women from
developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or
postdoctoral studies in the physical sciences, engineering and
technology at leading universities abroad. Fellows are
expected to return to their home countries on completion of
the fellowship in order to continue their academic careers,
further their research, teach, and act as role models for
other young women.

Female citizens of developing countries and emerging
economies who are enrolled in, admitted to or have applied to
a university or research institute abroad are eligible to
apply. Applicants should have an excellent academic record and
be able to demonstrate active participation in faculty life
and outreach programmes to encourage young women into the
sciences.

Fellowships cover tuition and university fees, accommodation
and subsistence, and travel expenses, and are worth up to
US$40,000 per year for postdoctoral study and up to US$50,000
per year for PhD study. Fellowships may be renewed subject to
satisfactory review.
