<b>‘EPSRC Vacation Bursary Scheme 2016’</b> funded by the EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership. These awards allow undergraduates to gain practical first-hand experience of research in a UK university to help them consider a research career.

<a name="d.en.594084"></a><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333">Successful applicants receive a stipend of approx. £230 per week to carry out a research project lasting around ten weeks during the 2016 summer vacation.
Students must be in the middle years of a first degree within EPSRC's remit, and should be able to fulfil the EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership
</span><a href="http://www.strath.ac.uk/pgrfunding/eligibility/"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">eligibility</span></a><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333"> requirements by the end of
their undergraduate degree. Projects must have a clearly defined objective and be within EPSRC's remit, but should not be part of the normal degree course.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
