<p>The 2018 Strathclyde Global Talent Programme has just been
launched. This scheme aims to appoint up to 75 exceptional
academics (Professors / Readers and Strathclyde Chancellor’s
Fellows) in strategically important research areas across the
University. The strategic themes and sub-themes are listed below.
The closing date is Sunday 4 November. </p>
Please identify exceptional potential candidates and bring this
scheme to their attention. Further information is available at

Applicants will be asked to select themes and sub-themes, so please
steer candidates towards the sub-theme they relate to (if this is
not obvious).<br>

HR are also asking for the following assistance with marketing the
campaign:<br>

ask that those of you who are Twitter users retweet any updates.
They are using the hashtag #SGTP2018 and ask that you do the
same.</li>
<li>LinkedIn: HR will post regularly on LinkedIn and would be very
grateful if you would re-post LinkedIn updates.</li>
<li>Networking: Generally, if you attend events or conferences
during the weeks ahead, please bring the Scheme to the attention
of individuals who might be exceptional applicants. </li>
