<p class="MsoNormal">The University has recently reviewed and relaunched its process for conducting Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs).

<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="https://www.equalityhumanrights.com/en/public-sector-equality-duty-scotland">Equality legislation</a> requires the University to demonstrate via completed EIAs that our policies, procedures and practices do not inadvertently disadvantage
 or discriminate against people and that we have identified opportunities to advance equality. EIAs also support us to evidence that, where possible, we have taken measures to remove or minimise any adverse impact of our activities on particular groups.

<p class="MsoNormal">Equality Impact Assessment is also a key element of our vision to be a socially progressive university that makes a positive difference to the lives of its students and staff, to society and to the world. It helps the University to make
