<p class="MsoNormal">We are looking for a new Faculty Education Liaison Adviser (FELA) from the Department. The role is to attract applicants to the University’s undergraduate courses representing the University at Higher Education and UCAS events and giving
presentations to Secondary School pupils and FE college students.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The role of a FELA is to be an effective ambassador for the University and for the Faculty/ Department. The qualities and abilities required are as follows:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Approachable and friendly;<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Enthusiastic about Strathclyde as a whole and their own area in particular;<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Interested in young people;<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Engaging and an experienced communicator, familiar with delivering PowerPoint presentations;<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Ability to work evenings and stay away from home overnight as required (all travel arrangements and transport is arranged in advanced and paid for by RIO).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">A full driving licence is required as the FELA post-holder is required to travel independently to School, College and UCAS events. Travel is usually using the RIO lease car, unless train travel is more economical.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It would be a 0.5 post would equate to attending 8 external RIO recruitment events in an annual contractual period, including 1 event in either England/Wales or Northern Ireland.

<p class="MsoNormal">An honorarium is attached to the role of £1250 per annum.<o:p></o:p></p>
