<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">They pay normal international fees for that year and count towards your PGR targets but their status is ‘non-graduating student’ i.e. they have a separate programme code (since they’re going to graduate
from wherever they are primarily registered).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">I’ve had a couple of Nigerian split-site scholars and they’re usually quite good. Got a paper out of each at least!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">Note that you have to demonstrate that you have a link with the overseas institute and will maintain contact with their home supervisors during the year – but that’s pretty easy nowadays with zoom
