<div>The deadline for applications to Glasgow Science Festival (GSF) is coming up soon. The event itself will run from 5th-15th June 2025. If anyone hasn’t come across GSF before, it is a city-wide event that highlights that Glasgow is a city steeped in science
and that everyone should know more about this environment. Next year, 2025, marks the 850 birthday of Glasgow, and the theme is to celebrate all that is exciting about science the city. </div>

<div>We run a lot of really excellent research in this department that should be highlighted outside of this campus, and GSF should be one of the ways we regularly do this. There is huge flexibility on what we can do, but some options are to have stands at
the weekend showcase in the Kelvingrove Museum, run an open-doors day in the department, science on the streets, … It doesn’t have to be a traditional activity either, and I know that some people in the past have been involved in creating poetry, opera, and
dance to communicate their work. </div>

is organised and run by a dedicated team, who do a very good job of taking care of admin and advertising, meaning less work on our side</div>

on the Sofa’ throughout June. GSF is a STEAMS festival, encompassing Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics and Social Science. Proposals from all fields are very welcome. </div>
