<p class="MsoNormal">The Dean will be in Bangkok next Monday for
the signature of a 4+1 Articulation Agreement with
Chulalongkorn University – this is the top ranked University
in Thailand (World QS ranking 229). <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As part of this agreement “Chula†physics
students will have the opportunity, at the end of their 3<sup>rd</sup>
year, to undertake an International Summer Research Project at
Strathclyde, supported by bench fees.<o:p></o:p><o:p> <br>
</o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For this summer the agreed Bench Fees are;<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">£1800 for an 8 week project <o:p>
</o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">£2250 for a 10 week project<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">These short projects should be designed to
give the students an excellent experience of undertaking
chemistry in a research environment and will hopefully
encourage them to return to Strathclyde at the end of their
final (4<sup>th</sup>) year to undertake a PGT or PGR degree.
The students take many of their courses in English and so
there should be no language problems. <o:p></o:p><o:p> <br>

<p class="MsoNormal">As part of his visit, next week, the Dean
has a session scheduled where he will present and discuss a
portfolio of the types of projects that are on offer to
students along with the staff that would be involved.<o:p></o:p><o:p>
