                biomedical imaging. It allows
              </span><span lang="EN-US">specific </span><span
                lang="EN-US">label</span><span lang="EN-US">ing</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> and target</span><span lang="EN-US">ing</span><span
                lang="EN-US">
              </span><span lang="EN-US">with</span><span lang="EN-US">
                molecul</span><span lang="EN-US">ar sensitivity</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> through immunocytochemistr</span><span
                lang="EN-US">y</span><span lang="EN-US">.</span><span
                lang="EN-US">
              </span><span lang="EN-US">However, </span><span
                lang="EN-US">it</span><span lang="EN-US"> is incoherent
                and emits in all directions</span><span lang="EN-US">.</span><span
                lang="EN-US">
              </span><span lang="EN-US">Henceforth</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> its intensity decreases
              </span><span lang="EN-US">rapidly and </span><span
                lang="EN-US">inversely with the square of the distance</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> and</span><span lang="EN-US"> would
                require high numerical aperture (NA) optics</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> for efficient</span><span lang="EN-US">
                collect</span><span lang="EN-US">ion</span><span
                lang="EN-US">. This problem can be
              </span><span lang="EN-US">remedied</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> by </span><span lang="EN-US">stimulated
                emission (SE) based fluorescence detection that
              </span><span lang="EN-US">would </span><span lang="EN-US">maintain
                the molecule specific contrast through
              </span><span lang="EN-US">immuno-labeling </span><span
                lang="EN-US">while</span><span lang="EN-US">
              </span><span lang="EN-US">convert</span><span lang="EN-US">ing</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> the incoherent spontaneous fluorescence
                signal into a
              </span><span lang="EN-US">stimulated and </span><span
                lang="EN-US">coherent one. </span>
              <span lang="EN-US">We had demonstrated </span><span
                lang="EN-US">stimulated emission (SE) imaging
              </span><span lang="EN-US">in</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span
                lang="EN-US">a
              </span><span lang="EN-US">long-working distance </span><span
                lang="EN-US">configuration. Additionally, the
              </span><span lang="EN-US">fluorescence lifetime imaging </span><span
                lang="EN-US">is realized
              </span><span lang="EN-US">by </span><span lang="EN-US">electroni</span><span
                lang="EN-US">cally controlling the</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> time delay between
              </span><span lang="EN-US">the </span><span lang="EN-US">excitation
                and </span><span lang="EN-US">the
              </span><span lang="EN-US">SE pulses in the nanosecond
                ranges</span><span lang="EN-US">
              </span><span lang="EN-US">through pump-probe
                configuration.</span><span lang="EN-US">
              </span><span lang="EN-US">However, the depth resolution is
                sacrificed </span><span lang="EN-US">due to</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> low NA
              </span><span lang="EN-US">optics in such a configuration</span><span
                lang="EN-US">. In order to
              </span><span lang="EN-US">take advantage of</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> the optical coherence of SE and
              </span><span lang="EN-US">obtain the</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">corresponding
              </span><span lang="EN-US">depth information</span><span
                lang="EN-US">,</span><span lang="EN-US">
              </span><span lang="EN-US">interferometric</span><span
                lang="EN-US"> techniques </span>
              <span lang="EN-US">are</span><span lang="EN-US">
                incorporated.</span><span lang="EN-US"> We have obtained
                a resolution of 66 mm, which depends on the coherence
                length of the stimulation beam.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
