<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Fluorescence is widely used in biomedical imaging. It allows specific labeling and targeting with molecular sensitivity through
immunocytochemistry. However, it is incoherent and emits in all directions. Henceforthits intensity decreases rapidly and inversely with the square of the distance and would require high numerical aperture (NA) optics for efficient collection. This problem
can be remedied by stimulated emission (SE) based fluorescence detection that would maintain the molecule specific contrast throughimmuno-labeling while converting the incoherent spontaneous fluorescence signal into a stimulated andcoherent one. We had demonstrated stimulated
emission (SE) imaging in a long-working distanceconfiguration. Additionally, the fluorescence lifetime imaging is realized by electronically controlling thetime delay between the excitation and the SE pulses in the nanosecond ranges through pump-probe configuration. However,
the depth resolution is sacrificed due to low NA optics in such a configuration. In order to take advantage of the optical coherence of SE and obtain the corresponding depth information, interferometric techniques are incorporated. We have obtained a resolution
of 66 mm, which depends on the coherence length of the stimulation beam.</span><span style="color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
