Dear All,

Things are progressing fast with the Research Data Management
project. The next few months will see a number of changes and new
systems:

- Plentiful space is now available on new h: and i: drives (h: for
personal files, i: for sharing). It takes some setting up so please
talk to Timothy Briggs or Ewan Mulhern when you want to use this
space
- Strathcloud – a cloud solution for active research data using
Strathclyde storage (similar to DropBox, SugarSync... but in the
University's control) - will be available in December
14
- An upgraded version of Pure is coming in January 15 -
this can generate DOIs for research data and release relevant
datasets online
- Research Data Management Plan - I'm making progress on a template
that may be useful to others who need plans. Ask me if you need one
soon.

Regards,

Rob
