<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Trustees of the Thomas and Margaret Roddan Trust are offering a small number of bursaries of between £500 to £3,000 to postgraduates engaged in research for a higher degree. Please note
that students due to complete their studies or applicants due to begin their studies in September 2019 are NOT eligible.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Awards may be made to students having their ordinary residence in Scotland and studying anywhere in the world (including Scotland) or students having their ordinary residence outside Scotland
and studying in Scotland.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Students must complete an application form, personal statement and provide financial details and a reference. They will be required to prove hardship and detail how an award would help further
their education and career goals. The Trustees will not favour applications to cover expenditure which should have been planned at the outset of the course such as required periods abroad and required field courses. The Trustees are, of course, willing to
consider applications where a student has suffered financial hardship through unexpected circumstances.
