Graduation</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">As you are
aware, following Government advice, the University has
postponed the formal graduation ceremonies. All students
eligible to graduate will graduate in absentia on Friday 03
July 2020 and will have the option to participate in a
replacement graduation event at a later date.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">The graduation
ceremonies are a high point in the academic calendar and we
are very sad that these have had to be postponed this year.
While we look forward to welcoming you back to the Department
to celebrate your achievement in a future ceremony, we would
also like to mark your success at the end of this academic
year.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">We are
considering the possibility of holding a virtual celebration
of your graduation at
<b>2pm on Friday 3rd July 2020</b> via zoom. Please could you
let us know if you and your family would like to take part in
this by e-mailing a passport-style photo of yourself to
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:alison.yao@strath.ac.uk">alison.yao@strath.ac.uk</a> by
<b>Tuesday 23rd June 2020</b>. If enough students are
interested we will organise this event and send out the zoom
links by Friday 26th June.</span></p>
