<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"IBMPlexSerif",serif;color:black">This increase of device stability comes with an increase in fabrication complexity, where multi-material devices can require lengthy processes
with each step calling for careful calibration. One technique that is utilised in the Institute of Photonics at Strathclyde is a device level transfer printing that facilitates transfer of small ‘coupons’ with prefabricated photonic structures onto larger
non-native substrates. This micro assembly process alleviates some fabrication restrictions present in whole chip transfer systems by means of sub-micron level positional accuracy of transferred devices.</span><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif;color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

platform demonstrates excellent four wave mixing properties, ideal for fabrication of micro cavities with high photon pair generation rates. The design freedom allotted by the transfer printing technique allows for modelling work in finite element analysis
software to influence the final design freely, and produce hybrid devices with optimised performance.</span><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif;color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
