<p class="MsoPlainText">There you will find requirements and guidance for years 1, 2 & 3 of PhD study. Please read the one appropriate to you. For first year students who started after Dec 2023, or second year students who started after Dec 2022, it may be
appropriate to postpone assessment. Please discuss with your supervisor.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">The PG conference involving talks from 1st year PhD students will be held on campus on *<b>Wednesday 14th August</b>* (full day).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">The PG poster session for 2nd year PhD students will be held on campus on *<b>Thursday 15th August</b>* (afternoon).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">Further details and instructions for both events will follow.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">*<b>Note</b>* : Although the PG conference is primarily for 1<sup>st</sup> year PhD students, this year the conference is also open to any 2<sup>nd</sup> year students who have had no or very little opportunity to present a talk on their
work due to the cancellation of the PG conference in 2023. If any 2<sup>nd</sup> year student would like to present a talk at this year’s conference, please let me know so I can add you to the list of speakers.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">Similarly, although the poster session is primarily for 2<sup>nd</sup> year students, if any 3<sup>rd</sup> year student would like the opportunity to present a poster please let me know.<o:p></o:p></p>
