Welcome to the online Postgraduate Prospectus!

To get a flavour of the variety of research areas available in the Department of Physics at the University of Strathclyde, have a look at the posters and video presentations (2009/10 intake, 2010/11 intake) prepared by first year postgraduate students as part of their course on communicating science. A current postgraduate student also speaks about his project in this video on the university's YouTube channel.

Postgraduate research degrees available in the Physics Department range from 1 year MRes/MPhil programmes to 3-4 year PhD programmes. Postgraduate students who study with us have come from all corners of the globe and we welcome your interest in joining us.
