Meet the Department
Some academics' biographies
Just as we have a section on our alumni and how studying physics at Strathclyde affected their life and careers, we will collect some lighthearted biographies of the academic members of staff in our department. This section is hugely under construction.
Helen Fraser (Lecturer since 2005)
Carol Trager-Cowan (Senior lecturer since 1998)
Some undergrads
Calvyn Howells (MSci Physics)
Claire Neil (Formerlay MSci Physics, now PhD student)
Katherine Scobie (MSci Physics)
Frances Johnston (Physics)
Peter Kienholz (Erasmus student (3rd year) in physics from Bern, Switzerland)

Don't forget to check out the photos of the staff of the Department of Applied Physics in 1986 (WARNING: rather scary!) and the page with historical laboratory photos from the Department of Natural Philosophy, Physics, and Applied Physics, which includes a number of photos from the 1980s taken by Ivan Ruddock.
