Subject: Students and Staff Co-Creating Curricula Workshop

Good morning,

I hope you all had a good weekend.

There is a Students and Staff Co-Creating the Curricula Workshop taking place on from 1.15pm-3.15pm on 16th May (details below) and I would be grateful if you could please encourage colleagues within your faculties to attend this event. Please note that my colleague Chrissie is currently not in the office and that any queries about this event should be sent to the Education Strategy e-mail address (educationstrategy at strath.ac.uk<mailto:educationstrategy at strath.ac.uk>) and not directly to Chrissie.

Colleagues can book a place on the event online through the Education portal (address below) or by e-mailing educationstrategy at strath.ac.uk<mailto:educationstrategy at strath.ac.uk>.

Students and Staff co-Creating Curricula Workshop (https://moss.strath.ac.uk/eduportal/events/Lists/Events%20calendar/DispForm.aspx?ID=16&Source=https%3A%2F%2Fmoss%2Estrath%2Eac%2Euk%2Feduportal%2Fevents%2FPages%2FEvents%2Easpx)

Dr Catherine Bovill, Lecturer in the Academic Development Unit at the University of Glasgow will lead this workshop and provide an overview of the literature about students and staff working in partnership and co-creating curricula.
A conceptual model of different possible levels of student participation in curriculum design will be introduced and illustrated using a range of different examples from academic practice across different disciplines.
Participants will have the opportunity to:

 * share their own co-creation examples
 * focus on what is possible in different contexts
 * focus on the challenges and practicalities of co-creation
 * share solutions and ideas for putting co-creation into practice

Many thanks

Heather
