Dear All,

I was pleased to see a number of names from Physics in the recent USSA
Teaching Excellence Awards. Congratulations to Gian-Luca for being
short-listed for "most passion for the subject" and to Carol
Trager-Cowan, John Jeffers, Nigel Langford, Nick Lockerbie, Brian
McNeil, David McKee and Steve Barnett for being nominated in the various
categories. Also congratulations to Debbie Willlison of Chemistry for
winning one of the awards.

Science, and Physics in particular, have traditionally not figured so
much in these awards so it is pleasing to see this number of names. Keep
up the good work and I hope for even more nominations, short-listing and
awards next year.

Regards,

Rob
