Dear All,
In preparation for the next opportunity to submit promotion cases
(expected in Nov) the Professorial Advisory Group will discuss potential
cases at its meeting on 10th Sept.
The new promotion guidelines are at
http://www.strath.ac.uk/media/ps/humanresources/promotion/IndicativeFrameworkForPromotion.pdf
Quoting from the introduction:
"To be considered for promotion, candidates must normally show activity
in all 4 areas described (e.g. Research, Teaching, Knowledge Exchange
and Citizenship). Individuals are not required to meet each indicator in
all 4 areas listed. However, staff are expected to demonstrate
excellence by clearly matching the indicators in at least two of the 4
areas, one of these being research. The Framework will be applied as
specific to the requirements of the particular discipline."
If you wish to put yourself forward, or if someone encourages you to do
so, please prepare a 2-side document summarising how you match or
surpass the indicators. Also a separate publication list - although I
suggest only refereed journal publications at this stage.
The 2-side documents need to reach me by *5pm on Thurs 6th Sept* to
allow circulation that evening.
Thanks,
Rob
