Hi

I have been asked by Rob to forward this email to you and stress the
importance of complying. As you can see from the email below the
Faculty is pushing for this to be completed for accreditation purposes
and I am therefore asking for your cooperation.

It is compulsory for all staff and I would ask you to complete the
Strathclyde Equality and Diversity Online Course as soon as possible and
no later than mid October (for existing staff). Can you please send me
confirmation of when this has been done.

Many thanks.

Kirsten

Heads

We are reviewing our Faculty Strategy, and will discuss this at FRAP on
27^th September.

‘Athena Swan’ is an issue, which is a target on the SFC Outcome
Agreement. It is a STEM-focussed part of ‘Equality and Diversity’.

This prompted me to check how we were doing on participation on the
‘Strathclyde Equality and Diversity Online Course’.

122/606 staff in Science have taken it. Of these, 90 are in SIPBS –
where there has been a special push, due to degree accreditation. So,
slack participation elsewhere.

All employees (academic, support, postdocs, RAs) should take it. Can
you encourage staff to do this, and also include this as an action point
for new post-docs and RAs who will be joining us shortly? Thanks.

You get into the course from:

clicking, ‘Take the course’.

Iain
