Dear All,
We have been able to persuade Prof Neil Gershenfeld of the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms to give a talk when he visits Strathclyde for his Hon Doctorate next week.
He works on the boundary of computer science, engineering, materials, and looks at applications which are highly disruptive and challenge conventional manufacturing business models. He also works with the Fablab network to carry out work in developing countries through the provision of very low cost technologies which can really impact on the lives of ordinary people in those countries.
Could you please advertise the attached talk to your dept colleagues.
Thanks
Tony
