[Academic] REF: Facilities usage information

Dear colleagues,

As part of the environment section of the REF submission we are required 
to provide data on our usage of major national and international 
research facilities.

To prepare for this part of the REF return, we are collating the 
relevant information on time awarded to investigators within the 
department for the period 1 January 2008 to 31 July 2013.  Please send 
me the following information for each competitively awarded period of 
access to a large national or international scale facility:
1. Facility name and location;
2. Time (number of days or weeks) awarded;
3. Total cost of the facility usage (if available)
4. Dates of usage
5. Name of lead investigator and any other co-investigators from the 
department
6. Whether or not the facility is supported by one of the UK Research 
Councils (STFC, EPSRC, etc)
