[Academic] DTG/University studentship applications - tranche 2

Applications are invited for DTG/University studentships (tranche 2). 
The submission deadline is provisionally February 15th.

Applications should be submitted online via

http://pgrapps.strath.ac.uk/login.php

You will need to register before submission using your DS username and 
password.

Simple training videos/instructions for the online application system 
are available at:

Please include with your application as an attachment :
- thecase for support (attachedto this email)
- references /transcripts/supporting letter (if a student is named in 
the application)


Financial details (EPSRC DTG)  :
- example application attached (DTGexample.png) for a 3.5 yearEPSRC DTG 
studentship starting in Oct 2013
- costs are split between DTG (max £10K p.a. - £35000) and the Faculty 
(£13400) with the remainder split 50:50  between Department/12424DG1009 
(£7450)and group/supervisor (£7450) .
- note that fees must be charged to EPSRC DTG (or the form doesn't let 
you submit). An amount equivalent to this (£13400) should instead be 
charged to the Faculty as stipend - see example.

Financial details (University studentships)  :
- example application attached (UNIVexample.png) for a 3 yearUniversity 
studentship starting in Oct 2013
- costs are split between University (max £10K p.a. - £30000) and the 
Faculty (£13400) with the remainder split 50:50  between 
Department/12424DG1009 (£6300)and group/supervisor (£6300) .
- for University studentships the fees can be charged to Faculty- see 
example.

Guidance notes are also attached for reference - please get in touch if 
you have any questions.
