Dear All,

I'm pleased to report that we will be hosting a visit from Prof Chris
Pickett (Director of the Energy Materials Laboratory at UEA, Norwich) on the
9th and 10th of May. Chris will be delivering a seminar on his work that may
be of interest to some of you. The details are below, if anyone would like
to talk to Chris while he is here then please let me know and I'll arrange a
slot in the schedule.

Seminar details: Friday May 10th at 1300 in TG310:

'Chemistry related to the di-iron subsite of [FeFe] hydrogenase and other
iron-sulfur active sites which evolve hydrogen'

An overview of the electron and proton transfer chemistry of synthetic
structures closely related to those found in biological systems which evolve
hydrogen will be presented with a particular emphasis on new work related to
the formation, detection and reactivity of di-iron hydrides.

Cheers,

Neil
