[Academic] Tranche 3 studentship applications - deadline June 21st

Applications are invited for the university's "tranche 3" studentships  
for named, high-quality students (with a 1st class MPhys/BSc degree or 
equivalent).

Application deadline  : *June 21st*

Applications for a maximum of £10,000 per year for three years should be 
submitted online via

http://pgrapps.strath.ac.uk/login.php

You will need to register before submission using your DS username and 
password.

Once logged in :
- click "New University studentship application"
- select "Tranche 3" from the drop down menu and complete the remaining 
fields.


Please include with your application as an attachment :

- thecase for support (attachedto this email)
- references /transcripts/supporting letter for the student


Financial details (all tranche 3 studentships are University 
studentships)  :
- an example application is attached (UNIVexample.png) for a 3 
yearUniversity studentship (home or EU student) starting in Oct 2013.
- costs are split between University (max £10K p.a. - £30000) and the 
Faculty (£13400 - homefee waiver for 3 years) with the remainder split 
50:50  between Department/12424DG1009 (£6300)and group/supervisor (£6300) .
- the fees can be charged to Faculty- see example.
- non-EU (international/overseas) applicants are eligible, but 
supervisors/groups will have to fund the difference between home/EU fees 
(~£4000p.a.) and international/overseas fees (~£16000 p.a.)
