The Global Engagements (GE) fund will be used to enable groups of Strathclyde researchers to develop strategic collaborations with excellent researchers' in Universities worldwide, and also in international organisations that provide research / consulting funding such as the World Bank, World Health Organisation, UN agencies, etc.

Funding will be made available for activities such as: researcher/academic exchanges; sandpit events; to leverage grants from external funders; and to develop new institutional relationships with international organisations that provide research/consulting funding . Funding can be for emerging/new relationships or for developing relationships.

The fund is intended to establish new or extend existing relationships with institutions that are not on the list of Strathclyde's Strategic Partners (New York University, Nanyang Technological University, Stanford University, Tsinghua University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology). Collaborations with the strategic partner institutions are managed by the International Directorate, further details can be obtained from Jill Farrell<mailto:mailto:jill.farrell at strath.ac.uk>.
