[Academic] De-watering the common room plants.

Hi all

I just spent a half-hour de-watering the plants in the common room. I say de-watering because I had to remove a half-litre of standing water from the saucers on which the plantpots sit. A messy business.

Please, please, please do not water these plants on a whim. There's a rota of biophiles led by John Broadfoot who take care of such things under an ADR Citizenship mandate.

If you want to replace someone already on the rota, you will need to earn a certificate of competence. The first thing you will learn is that roots rot in standing water.

I hope I've said enough, because I could certainly say more.

Have a good summer, y'all.

Kevin
