There is a - soon to be released - staff qualification in KE that OSDU will be overseeing.  To help shape this provision they are hosting a FREE lunch for staff next Wed.........short notice I know but I understand from them  that they had sent this around before but havent had much of an uptake.  Anyway, if you can circulate the email/details below amongst colleagues I be very appreciative.

LUNCHTIME FOCUS GROUP – WEDNESDAY 13th AUGUST or FRIDAY 5th SEPTEMBER

My name is Fiona Conway and I am a Teaching Fellow in the Organisational and Staff Development Unit. I am sending this email to ask for your expertise and assistance in designing a brand new staff development qualification focusing on Knowledge Exchange. The university has committed funding to the development of a new PG Certificate in Knowledge Exchange which will form part of the Advanced Academic Studies programme (http://www.strath.ac.uk/hr/learninganddevelopment/advancedacademicstudies/) . The integration of the pathway is shown below:

Over the last couple of months I have been speaking to 30 internal and external stakeholders through a series of meetings where I have been examining the knowledge exchange landscape and scoping opinions on the learning outcomes and content for the programme. This really is an innovative programme as there is nothing else like this in the UK and we are planning some exciting opportunities! Through these meetings, you have been suggested as someone who would be interested in participating and be valuable to the next stage of the research. I have an initial proposal of module titles and aims and now I really need your expertise and opinions on the proposal and help with generating ideas on how to take this forward into full module outlines. I would like to invite you to participate in a two hour focus group on either Wednesday 13th August or Friday 5th September (12pm – 2pm). We will provide lunch and my colleague Yvonne Kinnaird will be on hand to provide information on knowledge exchange support through RKES and help with any questions you may have.
