Hi Everyone,
There is one more thing we will each need to do in preparation for the Research Audit. Each of us is required to write a short impact statement – About 3–6 sentences up to a maximum of 200 words. This should document the early stages of impact (e.g., if you’ve begun to work with a company or other external organisation), to indicate your plans for the potential impact of your current research. This is part of a new policy where all staff should document impact (either plans or achievements). The main purpose of this long-term is to identify future potential impact cases for the next Ref, but the Research Audit will check that we are complying with this policy.
This statement needs to be uploaded to Pure (see the attached instructions – only steps 1-4 in that document are required) by Thursday 29 January, in time to be checked and included in the research audit.
For more information, please see the information in the attached PDF files on the required statements, and on how to upload this to Pure.
Thanks for your help and best regards,
Andrew
