[Academic] PhD Studentships Update

Dear All,

We are approaching the time of the year when the Tranche 2 PhD studentship allocation will need to take place. We have a small number of remaining opportunities in the department for funding good quality UK/EU applicants and I notice that we have several applications from such applicants on Pegasus at various stages of completion so I hope that we can have a strong competition for the remaining funds.

I will have contacted any members of staff who are linked to these offers individually but I also want to open the competition up to everyone in the department so if anyone has any students interested in making applications then please let me know and encourage them to apply formally asap so that we can formulate a departmental strategy.

To be clear - I need to be made aware of any students that you wish to be considered for department support and this should be supported by CVs/certificates/references either uploaded to Pegasus by the applicant or copied to Audrey for filing by yourselves. Please also indicate whether you have any partial support available.

To re-iterate, this will not be our last opportunity as we expect a Tranche 3 competition to run as well in the summer.
