Dear All,
This may be of interest.
Best regards,
Alison

Dear colleagues,
We would like to alert you to the City Observatory Data Portal at
http://ifuturecities.com/urban-data/city-observatory-data-portal/
This on-line facility houses open access data from a range of sources,
with topics including transport, health, energy, crime and community.
This is the time of year when many of us design, and then supervise,
honours and masters projects.
We believe that data from the portal could be incorporated into many
such projects, across all four faculties.
We therefore hope that the City Observatory Data Portal will encourage
student-driven activity that aligns with Strathclyde's Future Cities
theme.
We also hope that such efforts could be leveraged into new
interdisciplinary research collaborations.
Please let us know if you feel we could help you to firm up ideas for
student projects.
We would also appreciate being kept informed of student activity that makes
use of the City Observatory Data Portal---in particular, we would be
happy to run a show and tell event later in the academic year.
Best wishes,
Jannette Hughes
