[Academic] IOP Event

I'm mailing about an IOP event which is happening in a fortnight and will be of value to the PhD students and postdocs in Strathclyde. As you may be aware, in September the IOP launched a guide to funding for early career researchers entitled "Navigating the Funding Landscape" (which I wrote). This was launched in London at an event with a range of speaker who gave insights into the whole funding process - funders, researchers, reviewers and panel members, followed by a Dublin event last month. The guide features a number of Scottish physicists so I was keen to host a local event to give Scottish researchers the benefit of an event.

Everyone who attends will receive a printed copy of the guide as well as having the opportunity to network with other physicists and our speakers (from EPSRC and the Universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh).

The venue is Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh and starts at 10am.
