Dear Nigel and Kevin,

I hope that you are both well.

I have received the email below from a Malaysian student who is interested in undertaking a research internship in the Department of Physics at Strathclyde. I am aware that the University runs a ‘Research Interns @ Strathclyde’ programme in Science and Engineering – I know that this scheme is designed for Strathclyde undergraduates only, but I was wondering if you could advise if there may be any other similar opportunities for international students available, please?

The student is currently at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), which is a very well-regarded public university in Malaysia. She also expresses an interest in postgraduate study at Strathclyde, and from a student recruitment point of view she could be an excellent brand ambassador for Strathclyde Physics in Malaysia.

In the meantime, I will reply to her to let her know about other internship opportunities (IAESTE etc).
