it appears that RBS are considering putting Maxwell on a bank note. It
might be worth voting for this if you think it worthwhile and perhaps
encouraging your PG/UG students to do so.

I have just received this email (via Peter Higgs) about the voting
mechanism that will choose between the three finalist for their image to
go on to new RBS banknotes. You have the opportunity to choose for those
three (if you are minded to dos) James Clerk Maxwell.
Voters appear to need to have a Facebook account!
