[Academic] PH450 Viva Schedule Version 1

I have made a couple of minor updates to the previous DRAFT2 schedule to produce Ver1 (attached) and it has been posted to MyPlace.

As a zeroeth order approximation, I will assume that Chairs will conduct the vivas in their office. Chairs, please let me know if you would like me to arrange a meeting room for your vivas instead. Otherwise I will put down your office as the location of the venue.

In the PH450 Reports directory, I have set up a folder with some information related to the reports and vivas including marking forms. 

Thank you for all your input into the schedule. The timing has been a bit unfortunate with several important meetings clashing with the viva week.

I've tried to incorporate all the clashes I am aware of into this new draft of the schedule and allocations. I intend on issuing a schedule to the students end of Friday.

NOTE: I've had to do some reshuffling of marking allocations so do re-check as it may differ from the first draft.

Reports are now in: /idrive/Science/Physics/project/2015_2016 Reports/PH450 Reports (some students have been granted a 1 week extension so if you do not find your allocated project report, it should be available by Tuesday next week)

Room allocations will occur once the schedule is more or less settled.

Dear All,

Further to Daniel’s email it is essential that all staff attending the vivas submit their report marks to the viva chair before the viva. This is to 1) ensure that any major differences in the report marks can be addressed before the marks are collated and 2) to allow the rapid return of the marks to student business after the viva. The deadlines are tight this year with the last vivas taking place on 31st May and the pre-board being held on 7th June.

I have created a draft schedule for the 4th Year vivas (see attached). Please report any serious timing clashes by tomorrow (Thursday). All three markers per project (primary, independent, chair) should attend the viva.

Project reports are available on the departmental webdrive in the folder Science>Physics>projects-admin>2015-16>PH450 Reports. Let me know if you cannot access this drive. Check your name on the list of markers and viva chairs below:
