[Academic] Clarification on Marking: PH 450 Project Orals Cancelled

Dear All,

Just to clarify the situation with report marking. Please proceed with the report marking as before. The marking allocations have not been changed from the Version2 of the schedule, details of which are on the idrive Information folder for the PH450 projects.

All three designated markers (Primary, Independent, and Chair) should assign a mark, with the Chair moderating any large variances in the marks for each report. With the elimination of the viva, the report is even more important for the final mark so a consistent assessment for each project is essential.

Dear All,

As you will be aware the UCU are planning industrial action on 25th and 26th May 2016. Following guidance from the Vice Dean Academic it has been agreed that the oral examinations for all students will be cancelled.

If you have been assigned a project to mark please ensure that you send your marks (report mark and supervisor mark) to the designated viva chair before 25th May 2016. This will allow the moderation of any outlying marks. Viva chairs must pass the marks sheets to Daniel Oi by 31st May to allow the marks to be returned to Student Business before the marks return deadline.
