Dear All,
Another reminder about SEA applications. Thus far I have one SEA application on the PGRAPPs system, which means that there are in theory 2-3 unfilled studentships in our notional allocation. If you are intending to apply then I need to receive your application by close of play tomorrow (I will accept first thing Monday) in order to determine whether we need to run a departmental sift before passing applications to the Faculty for approval.
There are also several REA studentships within the department that have had their funding approved but, so far, have no students assigned. As we progress towards the business end of the PGR applications cycle, we will have to look at reallocating unfilled projects.
Best wishes,
Neil

Dear All,
A little reminder about the SEA studentship applications deadline. I have heard a few rumours but received no actual applications as yet. In order to give us time to process the applications ahead of the faculty deadline, I am going to ask that all SEA applications are submitted by a month from today (3rd March).
As always, if there are urgent, high quality cases to consider then please let me know.
Best wishes,
Neil

Subject: SEA studentship applications DEADLINE
Dear All,
Now that we are in the new year, the time for filling our SEA studentship allocation is upon us. The limiting deadline that I've been given by the Faculty is 10th March so time is short. Applications from PGR candidates are starting to come in now so please can I ask that you let us know asap if you have any strong candidates that you are interested in making an offer to.
The SEA process is a rolling one so applications can be made at any time and for outstanding candidates we will encourage rapid applications in order that you can make offers quickly. For good, but not outstanding candidates, we will prioritise remaining applications on a competitive basis nearer the 10th March deadline.
Any questions, please let me know.
Cheers,
Neil
