Hi Everyone,
As you know, the university is developing a number of international strategic partnerships. This year,a certain amount of funding is being allocated at faculty level for strategic initiatives. I’d like to ask you for any ideas of activities you’d like to have co-funded through this - especially short workshops or exchange visits to support existing partnerships or develop new ones.
If you have specific ideas, it would be wonderful if you could drop me a short e-mail describing your idea, and the total funding that would be requested. Generally, the total funding value is of the order of £2k-£8k, and this should be co-funding at the level of about 50%. The good news is that there are no long application forms.
I apologise for the short notice, but it would be very helpful in getting this organised if you could send me a short expression of interest (3-5 sentences identifying the activity, partner, and strategic importance are fine!) by this Wednesday, 8th November.
As a reminder, our partner universities include:
· California Institute of Technology
· City University of New York
· Massachusetts Institute of Technology
· New York University
· Stanford University
· Waterloo University
· Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
· Nanyang Technological University
· Tsinghua University
We also have a number of newly identified European partner universities.
In addition, the University is running its International Strategic Partnership Joint PhD clusters again this year. If you’d like to apply for these, there is a possibility to use REA/SEA funding to co-fund these applications to a small degree. If you are interested, please contact me and Neil Hunt.
Please let me know if you have questions about this,
Very best regards,
Andrew
