In light of the recent NSS results, the Faculty is running a series workshops entitled NSS: the 3 C's (Consistency, Communication and Community). The aims of the workshops are to help Departments improve in the areas of assessment and feedback, organisation and management, student voice and learning community and also to share best practice within the Faculty.
Below are further details of each workshops:
1. 'Student voice' has become a defining feature of the contemporary higher education landscape and continues to take an increasingly prominent role in higher education policy and guidance. What are we already doing to collect and act on feedback from our students, and how can we do it better? Date: Wednesday, 22 November 2017 3-4pm. 2. 'Organisation and Management' workshop will be delivered by John Hogg, Director for Continuous Improvement. Date: Wednesday, 20 December 2017 3-4pm. To book please go to here.<https://bookings.strath.ac.uk/Home/Course/2708>
3. 'Assessment and Feedback'; what is feedback? What do students think feedback is? This workshop will look into feedback further and explore options such as how to set up easy to mark assignments on MyPlace. Date: Wednesday, 17 January 2017 3-4pm. There should be at least a representative from each Department at all workshops.
