I now have the list of new bench fee subprojects to be used from 1 August onwards. These replace the subprojects under RSBF "Research Studentships - Bench Fees" as explained in my note below.

If you could let the relevant members of staff know in your departments, I would really appreciate it.

Dear all

To assist with accounting, we are making changes to the way we record income and expenditure relating to Bench Fees.

>From the 1st August, all existing bench fee subprojects starting S will map over to a new GEN subproject.  A new project category has been set up under General Projects to remove this from Research Studentships project type:

Sandy has arranged for the set-up of the new subprojects for each existing bench fee subproject with associated subproject manager and these are all detailed in the attached spreadsheet.

The majority of these are in Physics (35) and P&AC (25) with 12 in SIPBS and 1 in each of CIS and M&S.

The systems team is going to arrange the budget balance transfers to the new GEN subprojects as part of the budget roll forward process.

Please can you let the relevant academics know that from 1st August, they should use the new GEN subprojects.
