Delivered by the Enterprise Hub, this programme supports promising leaders of high growth engineering companies looking to scale up in the next few years. We provide a grant for leadership skills course(s), a mentor from our pool of Fellows, one-to-one coaching, networking and pitching events, as well as PR support and access to our co-working space the Taylor Centre. The programme lasts six months.

Each year we help one budding engineering entrepreneur aged 18-25 to start a business based on their engineering innovation.
Over our 12 month programme we focus on equipping the awardee with the confidence, skills, experience and network of expert advisors necessary to enable them to develop their innovation. The most successful awardees will then serve as role models to inspire the next generation of aspiring entrepreneurs, passing on the skills they have gained. Suitable for engineering, ICT and design students and graduates who have an early stage idea, perhaps resulting from their Masters project.

These highly prestigious awards aim to identify global research visionaries and provide them with long-term support to lead on developing emerging technology areas. The appointed Chairs will lead major research, translation and innovation programmes around key emerging technologies, build world-leading centres of excellence in strategically important technologies, supporting their commercialisation and adoption, and build and maintain a strong network of industrial and other partners to facilitate technology commercialisation and the creation of significant UK economic and social benefit. Applications are invited from high-calibre researchers worldwide (in line with the government's Rutherford Fund to attract global talent to the UK).

The RAEng Research Fellowships are aimed at early career researchers from all branches of engineering worldwide who have completed their PhD and have up to four years postdoctoral experience. Each award provides five years of support and the research fellowships must be hosted at a UK higher education institution/university.
Award Value - up to £100,000 per year for Research Fellowships and £125,000 for Engineering for Development Research Fellowships.

Support for innovative, creative entrepreneurial engineers who have demonstrated an exceptional innovation in engineering which they want to develop further. The programme focuses on equipping the awardee with the confidence, skills, experience and network of expert advisors necessary to enable them to develop their innovation.
We provide seed funding, training and mentoring to all experience levels, from graduate to Professor, who wish to spinout from a university or start a business outside of the university. The Fellowship will focus on developing the awardee's skills through training and implementation, so that by the end of the 12 month programme the business is ready to receive investment. As a charity the Academy takes no equity in the business.

Ingenious is an awards scheme for projects that engage the public with engineers and engineering. Ingenious projects provide opportunities for engineers to take part in public engagement activities, to gain skills in communication and to engage the public with engineering.
We welcome proposals from engineers, universities, science and engineering communicators and engagement professionals, colleges and schools.
We prioritise projects that reach diverse and underrepresented audiences and that engage with engineers and publics of different genders, ages and ethnic backgrounds.
Award value - £3,000 to £30,000

Engineering education systems which are fit for the future
This two-day conference will explore a systems approach to global engineering education - encompassing learning and development at all stages of life - to create a global workforce fit for an era of rapid technological development.
The conference will convene a wide range of stakeholders from across the world including policymakers, academics, industrialists, Professional Engineering Institution representatives, NGOs and funders as well as awardees and UK partners from 17 countries involved in the Industry-Academia Partnership Programme (IAPP), and the Higher Education Partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa (HEP SSA) programme.
The conference will shape concrete calls for action and seed partnerships across sectors which will test a range of approaches to engineering education systems which are fit for the future.

Interdisciplinary, international symposia bringing together outstanding early-mid career engineers from the UK and developing countries to establish collaborations for projects to address the global grand challenges.
