Subject: Looking for volunteers to help with Spectroscopy workshops at Schools and at the Riverside Museum

Hi All,

I am looking for help to run ‘Make your own spectroscope’ workshops in primary schools on Wednesday the 26th of September and in the Riverside Museum on the evening of Friday the 28th of September. These events are running as part of Explorathon http://www.explorathon.co.uk/glasgow/

The primary school workshops on Wednesday the 26th of September are for:
1) Dalmarnock Primary School 10.45 to 12.00
2) St Roch’s Primary and Deaf School 13:00 -14.00 and 14:00 to 15:00

On the evening of Friday the 28th of September we will be part of the Explorathon Extravaganza and I need helpers between 17.30 and 22.00.

The workshops comprise participants making their own spectroscope from a cardboard template and then using it to look at a number of light sources and exploring colour. I need volunteers to work with small groups helping them make their spectroscopes and answering questions.

Please e-mail me if you would be willing to help.

Regards,

Carol
